Frozen – the fairy tale – it is all about love…

by | 24. January 2020

In 1844 the danish poet H.C. Andersen wrote the fairy tale “Snow queen”.

He created a world of ice and a queen with a cold heart who bewitch many animals and humans and of course one of the head character to be cruel and heartless. (otherwise there wouldn’t be a good story to tell..)

What can nullify that kind of spell??

LOVE – the one and the only – as always…♥️♥️♥️

Besides the poetry H.C. Andersen also liked to make paper cuts. He used it for small gift for both children and adults but also a way to make storytelling. I do not think he ever ran out of tales and he told them with enthusiasm where ever he came.

For this embroidery I have been inspired of the landscape in this Snow Queen story, a never ending winter with ice crystals sparkeling in the light but also to catch the look of a paper cut.

One day I will make a book with the whole fairy tale illustrated with lots of my embroideries!

Until that book will be created you can enjoy my first book with the fairy tale of “The little Mermaid” and her journey under the sea and on earth
